TWIN CITIES YOUTH MEDIA NETWORK is a collaboration of youth media organizations in Minneapolis and St. Paul. The work of our members is diverse and varies with each organization. Here you'll find information and resources for youth producers and their families, media educators, and community members, along with youth-produced media. To find out more about TCYMN, read about our history, check out our FAQs, or contact us with any questions.
This May, TCYMN hosted its second annual Youth Media Summit at the Hennepin County Central Library. The Summit was a huge success: 30 youth from TCYMN Member organizations made six original films in just six hours. Groups of youth were given a genre and a prop (a slinky) and all filming took place within a two block radius of the library. Here are the films that the youth created.
"What Just Happened?!" - Experimental
"Truth & Confessions" - Sci-Fi
"The Package" - Action
"Slinkies For All Ages" - Documentary
"Belief" - Music Video
"Attack of the Slinky" - Horror
The TCYMN 2010 Youth Media Summit was made possible with the generous help of Hennepin County Libraries.
